Chicago was founded in 1833, near a portage between the Great Lakes and the Mississippi River watershed. The city became a major transportation and telecommunications hub in America. Chicago is also known as Chi-town. Chicago's third elevated company, incorporated in 1892. The public was quick to take advantage of the new facilities, as all companies had significant ridership gains after the Loop's completion. In the 1720s, the French built the Fort of Chécagou, under the leadership of Pierre de Liette, from which the present day Chicago city, probably takes its name. The fort was abandoned by the French in the 1720s during the Fox wars. Chicago is going to become the transportation hub of the United states. It is also becoming home to national retailers offering shopping. Chicago grows very quickly because of availability of abundant land, resources and fresh water of Lake Michigan. The population of Chicago grew substantially from 287,000 to 1.5 million between the years 1865 to 1903.

The main facilities includes ATM machine,wheelchairs for handicaps,smoking is prohibited by the government in all areas of the airport terminal. The only place smoking areas are available are outside of the terminal .Pets are not allowed at the airport.

Gary Airport:
The airport is located at state of Indiana.The airport code is GYY.The Gary/Chicago International Airport provides secure, convenient parking facilities to those utilizing the terminal parking facilities. The airport is implementing a Self-Pay Parking System in the terminal parking lot.Airport has three gates including new ticket counters, concession area, automated baggage retrieval, handicap accessible, and newly expanded ground vehicle access.Its runway length is 7000 ft,runway elevation is 591ft and its longitude is 87 degree 24’ 46’’ W.
